Design Criteria

Please review the criteria below to preliminarily determine if your heater design meets our capabilities and give us a call to discuss your options.

    • Maximum heater size:
        • Polyester = 47” x 23”
        • Polyimide = 23″ x 17″
        • Teflon = 110″ x 48″
    • Tolerance of cutline and features:  +/-.050” under 24” and +/- .100″ over 24”.
    • Parts are shipped flat.
    • PTFE insulated wires.
    • The material to be utilized is opaque (white) FR polyester up to 257°F / 125°C or non-FR polyimide up to 302°F / 150°C.
    • The resistance tolerance is +/- 10% from nominal, measured at ambient.
    • If selected, pressure sensitive adhesive is 3M 467/468.
    • Wire attachment joints will be over potted to provide general insulating protection.
design

To help customers obtain prototypes heaters quickly and easily, we do not need CAD files or formal prints to design and fabricate parts.  At a minimum, we require an image that shows what is needed from a physical size/shape.  This includes:

  • A photograph of a sketch on a sheet of paper
  • A JPEG or PNG snip of a screen shot
  • A PDF of a print
  • A photo of another part

Remember that what you provide needs to have dimensions and sufficient information for us to replicate what you are needing.
