Types of Heaters
TurboFlex Heaters are offered in three material types based upon the application.
Self-regulated Heaters
Using TurboFlex Mini Thermal Controller For Single Temperature Holding.
TurboFlex’s advanced Thermal Controller is designed for low-to-moderate temperature ranges (max 185°F for on-board mount and 250°F for off-board mount), and is excellent for freeze control and holding temperatures of low-voltage heating systems.
- Miniature/Compact Module: 1.8L X .80W X .425H.
- Operates on 6 to 28 volts.
- Maximum current draw: 10 amps.
- Fixed temperature set at factory.
- +/- 1°F temperature control. *
- Multiple configuration options available (see configurations below).
- SMD Thermistor Size: 0805. Potting optional.
- Leaded Thermistor Flange: OD .335” with Hole ID .146”.
*Results depend upon thermal mass, heater wattage & heat loss .
- Single point on/off duty cycle control.
- Indicator LED displays when output power is pulsed ‘on’.
- Mounts directly on flexible heater or in an adjacent position if desired.
- Mounts with pre-attached double-sided foam tape.
- Custom input power lead lengths.
- Operates on input power to heater.
- Heater is disabled if sensor is disconnected.
