Types of Heaters
TurboFlex Heaters are offered in three material types based upon the application.
HIGH TEMP POLYESTER (PET)
- UL Recognition: E-10549 (specified on a per-order basis)
- Bond Ply Layers: FR Halogen-Free Modified Polyester Thermal Cured Adhesive
- Dielectric Layers: PET Polyethylene Terephthalate Insulation Film (in varying thickness from 25 micron to 75 micron)
- Typical Dielectric Strength: 7000 Volts per mil
- Foil Type Options: CUN and Cu in varying thickness, metallurgy, and resistivity
- Thermal Rating of Lamination Stack (converted into patterned heaters): Rated at 125C

POLYIMIDE (PI)
- Dielectric Layer Certification: IPC-4203/1
- Bond Ply Layers: Acrylic Thermoset Epoxy
- Dielectric Layers: PI Polyimide Film (in varying thickness from 25 micron to 75 micron)
- Typical Dielectric Strength: 7700 Volts per mil
- Foil Type Options: CUN and Cu in varying thickness, metallurgy, and resistivity
- Thermal Rating of Lamination Stack (converted into patterned heaters): Rated at 150C and higher depending upon end-customer installation practice

- High Temperature Applications
- Dielectric Layer Certification: IPC-4203/1
- Bond Ply and Mounting Layers: Silicone Adhesive
- Dielectric Layers: PTFE Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene with Woven Fiberglass Structure
- Typical Dielectric Strength: 7700 Volts per mil
- Foil Type Options: CUN and Cu in varying thickness, metallurgy, and resistivity
- Thermal Rating of Lamination Stack (converted into patterned heaters): Rated at 225C and higher depending upon end-customer installation practice
- Compliant with REACH, ROHS, and WEEE Directives
